aQayo in the News – aQayo CEO in The Business Times
Singapore – November 2, 2009 – aQayo’s CEO, Max Armbruster was in the news this week when asked his thoughts on Malaysia’s foreign policy for attracting talent, and was quoted saying:
“To quote from the report: 'To attract talent, skilled foreigners would be granted Permanent Resident status, as would those married to Malaysian women. Foreigners would also be allowed full equity in corporate finance and financial planning firms.'
Malaysia benefits from international exposure, whether it is through its own nationals expanding their careers internationally or thanks to their import of targeted foreign talent. Other countries are designing similar policies, inviting talent as Permanent Residents, and the 'brain market' is becoming more global and more competitive.
As the choice in destinations increases, the success of these campaigns will depend less on public policies and increasingly on the countries' ability to communicate directly with job-seekers. Malaysia's PR will need to shift from the beachy 'Truly Asia' to the corporate 'Truly Asia'. ”
